Kaho and Dia at our Portland, OR event (June 5th)
Dia drove up from Ashland, OR to be with us. She was such a huge help with this event. Thank you, Dia, for all of your love and support!

Sam and Judy, happy to see each other! (Portland, OR, June 5th)

Kaho's "Thank You, Portland" mandala in the making. The mandala was donated to a woman's homeless shelter in Portland.

During the Portland event, people watched Kaho draw her "Thank you, Portland" mandala.

June 8th
Sam and Kelly on the ferry to Canada!!

This is a photo from Sidney, BC- which is about a 20 minute drive from Victoria. While we were here, I played a concert at the Centre for Spiritual Awareness "Sacred Singing" coffee house. (A couple weeks later, I played at their Sunday service as well.) It was really sweet to connect with the community here. It has such a small town closeness which we really enjoyed.

(Kelly and I walked along this coast every morning and evening.)

Our friend, Paul Foster, playing at the weekly Farmer's Market in Sidney. It's so much fun to watch Paul perform! He is so enthusiastic and plays great songs.

Kelly and I had a great time staying with Paul and his wife, Jeannie, while we were in Sidney.

After leavning Sidney, we met up with Kaho on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, in Gibsons, BC. Our friends, Ken and Dawn, kindly opened up their home to the 3 of us. We stayed for 2 weeks and got some good rest while also seeing some amazingly beautiful places. Ken and Dawn took us to many incredible spots, like this waterfall/park in Gibsons.

As we were driving around Gibsons, BC, we came across this amazing spot (called Gospel Rock) overlooking the water! The mountains in the background are called the Sawtooth Mountains. Whistler and Squamish are located there. (This is also the site of the 2010 Winter Olympics).

June 22, Vancouver event
It was great having Ikuyo, Kaho's mother, come to Vancouver for our event.
We love having Ikuyo travel with us. She is such a joy!

View of Vancouver from the Masonic Hall, where we held our event.

A photo of my wife, Kelly. You won't see her in too many photos, because she's usually the one behind the camera.

Sam and Ikuyo (aka Okasan)

After our Vancouver event, Kelly and I headed over to Hornby Island. We LOVE Hornby Island. There is such a sweet, soft, relaxed energy here. Cottages (and even the local bakery) are tucked away amidst huge trees. The views here were stunning.

While we were in Hornby Island, we stayed at our friend, Pyx's, house. This is a photo of her cottage/art studio, which was quite a haven!

Pyx is a talented artist who lives and paints on the island (see her work). Many artists live on the island, working from their homes. People drive and ferry over to tour their studios. It seems like a dream life for an artist.

Over Canada Day weekend, I had the opportunity to play at the Beacon Hill Park bandshell in Victoria. It was incredible to be playing outside in such a beautiful setting.
